WatermelonWeek, sponsored by Safety Harbor Connect

While Melons for Moolah, Presented by LocalShops1, is a one-day festival, we wanted to extend the fun for an entire week! From June 29-July 5, we’re asking Safety Harbor food and drink establishments to create a watermelon-themed dish, drink or dessert (or all three!) with a portion of  each sale being donated to the Safety Harbor Public Library Foundation’s 20/20 Vision Campaign.

ConnectWe’ll have an online vote so patrons can help choose the Best Dish, the Best Drink and the Best Dessert! The winners of each will be featured in an article on Safety Harbor Connect and get a free month of banner advertising on Safety Harbor Connect. In addition, the establishment that raises the most money for the Library Foundation during WatermelonWeek will get to host our Melons for Moolah Volunteer Appreciation Party!

And we’ll be hosting a WatermelonWeek Pub & Restaurant Crawl starting at 5 p.m. on July 3 to try to taste as many of these great creations as possible!

If your establishment would like to participate, or you have any questions, please contact Scott Long at melons@melonsformoolah.com or (727) 314-5664.
